re:solve (决议案 / Jue Yi An)

It was sheer coincidence that my friend, one who has a strong penchant for action movies, and I lamented that aside from the usual horror and comedy genres of film, Singapore seemed to be lacking a true blue action film to proudly call our own. Thailand has its own established stars with their hard hitting brand of martial arts, and Malaysia too has director James Lee successfully straddle art house films, and mass market entertainers such as The Collector. In Indonesia, we look on with envy as The Raid created a frenzy everywhere it went.

Then as if prayers have been answered, we'll soon have something just over the horizon!

re:solve, a police action thriller from Red Action Entertainment, Bettermen Asia, and mm2 Entertainment. Directed by Randy Ang, written by Matthew Ing, Loh Hwai Fang, and Randy Ang, with Singapore's action hero Sunny Pang returning home in a starring role as well, after plying his action craft with James Lee in a couple of shorts and feature films.

More details will come as soon as the production kicks into high gear, but in the meantime you can check out the movie's Facebook page to keep tabs on progress!
